This new Michael Jordan ad for ESPN is excellent. It does not feature Michael Jordan.
This is almost exactly how it feels for guys with the same name as Luc Mbah a Moute and Sarunas Marciulionis. Almost.

Bynum and a fan react to Blake’s dunk on Pau last night.
My thoughts exactly.

Here’s the play by Griffin that prompted the announcer to mention Jordan.
And here’s Jordan’s switched hand lay-in against LA in the 1991 Finals, the announcer appears to reference.
And here are some other Jordan hang-time moments, in case you’re not like me, and don’t…
“This is the Nike Zoom Kobe VII (7) Elite in a black, metallic gold, and dark grey color way. The seventh signature model of the Nike Kobe line introduced a system, consisting of interchangeable insoles that cater to different styles of play. This “Elite” model features increased functionality reinforced with a Full Length Zoom Air sole, a remake of the hexagonal designed “snake-skin” upper (similar to the Kobe VI) and a carbon fiber heel counter. Take this as a “Premium” release that features more durable and higher quality materials the general release model. This black and metallic gold combination gives these a prestige unlike other Kobe VII (7) designs.”
Carbon. Fiber. Heel.
Just a friendly reminder of why the GOAT is the G.O.A.T.
A rare video of MJ I haven’t seen before. This is from the 1990 Eastern Conference Semifinals when MJ’s Bulls defeated Barkley’s Sixers 4-1. Watch as MJ sprints back on defense and snatches Barkley’s shot with two hands. The block was discounted, but it’s always enjoyable (and slightly alarming since what we’ve seen in his retirement) to watch MJ compete with that ferocity. Remember, this clip comes BEFORE MJ crossed the threshold into NBA champion, and he had to wait another year after the Pistons eliminated this squad 4 games to 3 in the Eastern Conference Finals.
